What is a Moratorium?

A moratorium is a legal authorization to delay action, in the case at hand we, The Hamlin Preservation Group, are in support of a moratorium on the placement of industrial wind turbines within the town of Hamlin.

Town of Brandon Public Hearing to Extend Moratorium of WInd Energy for 12 months so that they may adopt a Comprehensive Plan

The Town Board and Planning Board will be having a study session to work out the wind report.

**Town of Gorham Moratorium Update!!**

There will be a special town board meeting on Wednesday 3/28 @ 7:30pm at the Gorham Town Hall on South Street. here is the official agenda item:

4. Moratorium 3rd Wind Farms
a. – need a motion to rescind Resolution #027-2007 adopting Third Moratorium
on Wind Farms. Ontario County Planning Board had not acted on this application yet. OCPB
has since reviewed the application, determined it to be a Class I with no comments, local
board may take action.

The Town of Bethany will be having a Q&A session with members of the Wind Turbine Study Committee. This session is open to the public.
