Have You Noticed?

Wyoming County

Have the readers of this very interesting site, noticed that those who are pro wind turbines USUALLY are benefitting financially from siting on their property OR they WORK for the developers? Just read the local paper (Daily News). It appears those who are for the metal monstrosities are looking for a full wallet, not to whether they actually do what is promised. Why is it the information off the MET TOWERS is not available to the Public? NYSERDA doesn't even require that information in their permit/information gatherin process!!!!!

MET data is required by

MET data is required by banks in order to approve construction loans.

While UPC Wind Partners is making a great deal of noise about needing the MET data to be able to position turbines correctly, Noble and Horizon have both proceeded to near-construction (including environmental impact statements which include placement maps) without them -- getting MET data only when they needed their bank loans.

In short, it's a proof to the bank that wind actually exists in the area. Everyone else already knows the wind strength through meteorological study and modeling software.

Agree with you that the vast majority of supporters are benefiting financially. That's not news to me :)
