Noble IPO

Clinton County | Financial

Here is a chance for even the NIMBY activists to join into the green revolution. Apparently NOBLE is going to spin off from J.P. Morgan with a public offering. It would be a chance to support the environment and to possibly profit as the local communities have with this clean alternative energy source.

Amazing isn't it? All the early hype about towns not getting any tax benefit seems to have evaporated as the benefits keep pouring in. Here is another recent article about school budgets increasing and taxes decreasing. Wonderful story isn't it?

Question for Anne Britton

Clinton County

Hi Anne. You mentioned more than once that you are personally responsible for stopping the noble clinton project and that they tried to pay you off. As a participant in this project, I find it interesting that you hold yourself responsbile for the project timing - which as far as I know was just delayed due the the long amount of time it took to get the AMCOE permits and the state DEC permits. And of course the time it took to put together a quality DEIS study. This project has started and looks like (by evidence of the activity) to be moving along quite nicely. It also recieved state contracts. I'm curious - just what did you do? And what are you planning to do next since all the permits are evidently in place? Also - I'll be happy to share my experices in this project - including my own observations with the so called noise and vibrations, and ice throw etc. Just ask and I'll try and provide some real actual information. So far its been an extremely postive experience.

Wind farm proposal in Clinton County

Clinton County | Court Cases

For people who call the town of Ellenburg home, these green pastures are sacred ground. Barbara Kramer, the Vice President of Neighbors of the North Country, said, β€œIt is my utopia. Do you know what that means? Paradise. And this is paradise. And it is going to be devastated forever. ”

Neighbors of the North Country is a group opposed to Marble River Wind Farm, a project to build 400 foot tall wind turbines throughout Clinton County. But the project manager, Charlie Turlinkski said the 109 turbines built in the towns of Ellenburg and Clinton alone will create enough power for 60,000 homes.
