CHURUBUSCO, NY -- Noble Environmental Power announced today that it will hold a job fair on Tuesday, June 20 to discuss employment opportunities at its proposed Clinton County windparks and to accept applications. The job fair will be held from 6-9 p.m. at the Rainbow Room Banquet Hall, 47 Woods Falls Road in Altona.
Noble plans to fill the approximately three dozen long-term jobs at its proposed windparks in Altona, Clinton and Ellenburg. Most of the jobs will be in operations and maintenance but some positions will be in management and administration, with preference given to qualified Clinton County residents.
"While we recognize our projects are still under review and have not yet received all the necessary permits, we are eager to begin collecting job applications so we are in a position to fill these jobs quickly at such time as our projects have been fully approved," said Daniel Haas, Managing Director of Noble Environmental Power. "We'd like to be able to hire as many local residents as possible for these long-term jobs."
Refreshments will be served at 6 p.m. and a formal presentation is scheduled to begin about 6:30 p.m. Interested individuals are encouraged to bring a resume or job history and applications will be available at the meeting.
For operations and maintenance positions, industry experience and/or knowledge of electrical and engineering systems or machinery and rotating equipment is preferred but not essential. Noble will provide training for qualified candidates.
In addition to the three dozen long-term jobs, several hundred construction and installation jobs will be created. Those jobs will be filled directly by subcontractors and not by Noble. Candidates interested these construction and installation support jobs should contact the relevant subcontractors directly, as Noble will not be involved in these hires.
